What, ahead of whom? Man U, Chelsea, Liverpool or Arsenal?
They've got a long way to go yet. If I were a Man City fan I'd keep looking over my shoulder in case these rich Arabs who appeared from nowhere suddenly disappeared just as quickly.
And I still don't think Mark Hughes is the man to try to get them to the top 4. Martin O'Neill or Harry Redknapp? Yes.
Get the defence sorted, get the team "to gel" and why not? The owners are obviously serious about throwing money at the club, so these must be exciting times for City fans. One reason stands out above all others, though. They are not playing in Europe next season. All those midweeks off could be invaluable to them. If I was to hazard a guess, I would say that City will finish fourth next season (probably at Arsenals expense), but would not be surprised if they finished higher.
