can i drive a 7.5 tonne wagon?
i done a weeks training and passed first time in feb 2014 to drive 1 of these for the company i was working for but now im with a different company they are saying im not entitled to drive 1.
heads battered with it all.
i understand i need cpc driving but these modules 2 and 4? shouldnt these have come under my weeks training?
The C1 just gave you the entitlement to drive a 7,5 tonne vehicle but that's not enough on its own if driving those vehicles is the main part of your job. Is there a difference in your role now and what you were carrying previously?
You should have taken modules 2 and 4 before passing your practical C1 driving test. If you have, you should have a blue Driver CPC card similar to a pink Driving Licence card. If you have not got the blue card, you CANNOT drive a C1 vehicle legally (there are exceptions, but these almost certainly will not apply to you). The max fine is £1000. If you haven't got the Driver CPC card, I suggest you ask your driving school why they did not put you through the modules. If you have got a current C1 driving licence and a current DriverCPC card, you can work for anyone you like in a vehicle covered by a C1 licence. Be aware that you must do 35 hours JAUPT approved training prior to your DriverCPC card expiring 5 years after its issue (which should be around Feb '19 assuming you have your DriverCPC card).
You have my sympathies...all this legislation does 'batter' your head!!!
