I have an answer for 74 & 90 but not sure about them.
74. Soldier means to turn traitor twice (6,3) My first word begins with D and second word R
90. An artist, but not one producing great works of art (11)
My word begins with M and ends with T
Do Quizzers and Puzzlers think I am right and if not clues would be appreciated. THanks
Hi elliemay1. I have 2 more Qs to work out i.e. 88 & 93.
Regarding 97 I haven't found anything better than begin with E & end with T. Even though the old housing was for dead bodies!!
Thankyou jj109. Have now got 88. Usually look for anagrams but didn't with this question.
re 93. There's only about 35 10 letter words beginning with d and ending with T none of which has seemed aloof so far!!
Thanks elliemay1. Got it. It gave me a list of synonyms which were no help. Then saw the noun in small print and the answer was obvious!!!!
Particularly as it's a unit of troops.
Really hoping that Mamyalynne or Lie-in-King can sort out an answer for 97 that nobody has come up with so far. I think this quiz is easier than usual but having done 99 of the clues within a week or so (and pretty confident about the answers) I have never been stuck on one for so long. Not happy with either of the answers suggested so far!
Nice of you to place faith in my solving abilities but I have nothing to offer other than the two main contenders for 97 that have already been discussed.
