morning, Sunday already and this week has flown by. I hope that you are all in good health and that your day is a pleasant one. Do you have anything planned for today?
I am going to take a day to rest up as my leg is hurting quite a lot, so will undoubtedly watch the news. I went to the local church and sent electronically a message of condolence on the death of Queen Elizabeth, and sat for a while and pondered on how this week has seen such seismic change, with a New Monarch and new government. Quite extraordinary times we are living in.
I went to watch the Stone of Destiny come home and it was shher hell on the Royal Mile..this will be so much worse.. would have to walk some distance too because of the vehicular cordon already in place..not fun on pavements full of campers !
I am still very sad about the Queen. I keep thinking about my nan as well, who is 96 in October. She keeps falling now and had a #NOF but she's as stubborn as an ox and refuses to accept help.
I've been to London to watch the pageantry at times - on one occasion because my then boyfriend, a Grenadier guard, was taking part and I thought I might spot him under his bearskin. As if!! Haaa! Oh the folly of youth! ;o)
i remember the state funeral of Winston Churchill, watching on tv...i was only young, but it left a lasting impression, pretty much like the last few days.
