I got laughed at yesterday for saying "Crikey". Rather than put me off, I have now decided I am going to pepper my conversations with the good old sayings. From now on, rather than feel silly cos I've said something old, naff or posh - I'm coming out with the "Cor Blimey", "Eee by Gad" and "Golly Gosh" sayings of this fine country. We can't let these die out folks, can we?
Probably a bit dead now - I answered this before I left the house and only just got online.
My great great uncle sent my great great aunt (his sister) a ferret by rail in the early 1900s. She sent him a post card saying "thanks for the ferret, arrived safely, but he's a bit wry necked". Everyone laughed. And we have laughed ever since (and I still actually have the post card).
